Hello again, dear readers of this fashion and interior design blog. You have probably already read our first post where we introduce the blog’s themes of fashion and interior design, but if you haven’t, make sure to check it out.
We wanted to introduce ourselves to you, so you know who is behind your new favourite website for exploring the trends in fashion design and interior design. We hope you come to enjoy the frequent articles and deep dives that we have to offer you on this blog.
Knowing Us
Let us begin by telling you about ourselves and our interests. We are two friends who met at school and we now have this blog that we share between us. When we met, we couldn’t be more different from one another, but nevertheless, we had a lot of fun together and we feel grateful for keeping our friendship alive for so many years.
Although we had different interests growing up, we both ended up getting into the creative industries when it was time to choose an ungraduated course. One of us got into film and another one, as you might have already guessed, interior design.
We felt that, even though our industries were still vastly different, we had new topics to discuss and it seemed like our interests started aligning more than ever before. It could be said that we became even better friends once we went to university, despite going to different universities.
Why We Made This Blog
Every time we got a chance to hang out, usually when we both went back home for the holidays, we would go into these detailed and interesting discussions about famous directors or interior designers and we both discovered new things to be passionate about from the other person.
You might now ask yourself, why didn’t you make a blog about interior design and film? Sure, there are many intersections between the two (after all, the production designer is a type of interior designer in the film industry), but we felt that fashion and interior design have more in common, which is something we explained in the welcome post.
We also both loved fashion and we thought it was the perfect thing to discuss as we have many cherished childhood memories of us drawing our favourite designs and then trying to recreate them out of toilet paper. This was the thing that first brought us together.
Still, there is space for film as well since it naturally intersects with fashion and interior design. We both want to discuss costumes in film because we have some really strong opinions that we want to share with you.
Blog Contents
The blog will feature original articles written by us on topics concerning fashion design and interior design. There isn’t another overreaching theme, meaning that you may see some really random and niche topics (as long as they are about fashion and interior design).
We wanted to present something unique to you and to also share our thoughts with the world and see how “the world” responds to them. Let us know if there is something you want us to discuss in an article and we will look at it!
